We developed a novel high-strength aluminium alloy, which optimizes aluminium use, particularly in the mobility sector.
There is currently a great deal of interest and effort put into researching aluminium alloys, as their superior strength-to-weight ratio, recyclability, and excellent mechanical properties make them a material of choice in a wide range of applications. Industries such as automotive, maritime, aerospace, and others are increasingly looking into the use of aluminium because of higher ecological standards, recyclability, durability, high strength, and low weight. The ultimate strength of our alloy is about 25% higher than the supreme commercial alloy available in the market. Furthermore, our alloy is fully recyclable and can be produced using cost-effective technology. A new alloy contributes directly and effectively to cleaner mobility by making transportation units lighter. Consumers benefit from lower fuel bills through the life of the vehicle. Moreover, vehicles using our aluminium alloy will be lighter, hence battery range will improve. Lighter vehicles also improve road safety by shortening the braking distance and reducing impact energy in the event of collision. Furthermore, producers benefit from higher quality products, and increased material efficiency.
