MotorSkins
Virtual venue @hopin

MotorSkins is a soft exoskeleton that helps people with lower-limb muscle weakness and fear of falling. Is fully autonomous no batteries or motors.
Fluid-driven soft-exoskeletons could bridge the complexity and price gap, traditionally exoskeletons are over complex machines, our approach is close to clothes, price accessible. MotorSkins employs fluid-driven soft robotics, but harvests energy from the user’s own steps. Thus, we propose a soft exoskeleton with lower complexity and price as well as larger autonomy and freedom than other solutions available, but with a more narrow functional focus (here, assisting the bending of the knee).
