We are developing a carpooling application for companies that enables their employees to join trips on daily commutes and support the practical implementation. Our focus lies on an optimized matching procedure, data science and an incentivizing pricing scheme in order to reach a stable system performance. As we have found in our research and analysis of commuting data, the B2B approach offers numerous advantages. As people are travelling to the same destination and at similar times, it becomes easier to reach a critical mass. Further, the social barrier is reduced among colleagues and the employer can be involved to encourage the use of the platform. We specifically target companies that propose high success rates due to their location, number of employees, flexibility in working times and access to public transportation.
