Norbert Kunz is one of the most distinguished social entrepreneurs in Germany. For more than 20 years, he supports founders and helps to develop social innovations in various ways. Norbert Kunz was heading various social organisations. As founder and CEO of “Social Impact GmbH”, he currently concentrates on building an infrastructure for social innovations and entrepreneurs. Opening of the first “Social Impact Lab” in Berlin 2011 was a major milestone for social entrepreneurs and the first business incubation program for social startups in Germany. Today, there are Social Impact Labs all over the country, which run various startup programs to facilitate social entrepreneurship.

For his commitment and contribution to society, Norbert Kunz was awarded as Ashoka-Fellow, as Social Entrepreneur of the year 2010 and with the Social Entrepreneurship Award twice. He is active in various associations and institutions, such as the European Union expert committee of the Social Business initiative (GECES).
